Looking for something to do this weekend???? How about watching a handful of your beloved E30's racing against a bunch of crap at on of the premier road courses in the US!!!!
That's right, ChumpCar is holding their 'Great American Meltdown' Double-7 ChumpCar event this weekend, April 21st and 22nd, at the awesome Road America in Elkhart Lake WI. I will be there with the Bavarian Mustache Werks team's '87 325is, Thelma, to take on the rest of the 55+ car field in the 2 7-hour events. Want more E30 action? There are something like 6 E30s signed up. Maybe more.
We are car #68 for this event, come on out, say hi and enjoy the racing!
I plan to have updates while we are on track (other than when I'm in the car) - those will be posted up on my FB page here:

As a fun little extra bonus, I'm going to have a bit of a contest, with some sort of very modest prize (which is yet to be determined). Simply reply to this thread with your guess on:
There will be 2 'winners' in this mini contest; whomever is closest in time and closest in speed gets whatever prize I come up with.
(You mid-west peeps get all the luck with 2 great events this weekend! I don't mean to step on Cosmo's toes with the NASA event at Autobahn April 20-22, but if you are further north or prefer RA over autobahn, come on out!)

- Fastest lap time set by B.M.W. (official time sheet / results)
- Highest top speed (verified by GPS data acquisition system)
