    where oh where to drift

Im building my e30 with the intent of drifting it. and ive done the suspension, intake, exhaust, 325ix diff and dinan chip and my 318is is actually fun now and has a lil pep to it.

the only place i know where to drift legally is down at old dominion raceway those 2 practice days they have every year, and its kinda exspensive.

are there any places that are safe to drift or at least practice? anyone have a lot?

what if we rented a parking lot or airstrip

    any input would help!

You need overnight parts from Japan to drift.

I'm down, im sure some friends would be as well, to rent a lot to drift. I asked the manager of a "park and ride" around here, the guy looked at me like I was retarded. I used the term "motorsport event" I guess he couldn't figure out why we wanted his half an acre lot.

Really can't plan much without a location, I'll deff keep an eye out for more. Bear mountain has a huge lot but it's not exactly pristine. Theres also a church that hosts car shows around here that we hit up when it snows. I wipped up a quick mspaint diagram, the squigle lines show increased elevation. Granted it's not the best for highspeeds, but has alot of transitions and I think it's really the only one around here that will be willing to rent out. I'll also give a call to the local airports, see if there is any way we can get in there.

Think I should call regular airports a call or is this a closed airfield style thing? I'm gunna go on google earth and look for big lots, try and get a hold of the owners.

keep in mind a lot of places might not be willing to insure the event and my cost out the ass a buddy of mine is trying to do this exact same thing and is having insurance issues.

pretty sure a church is not gonna let you have a drift event there unless its abandoned. hahahah
