    Haha! I spent 3 hours trying to remove the tar on a normal day (about 80 degrees) with two hammers (one to hit, one to use as a "chisel"). Later in the day I discovered YUN's HEAT GUN was the greatest thing on earth for the tar, it literally peeled away with little effort on my part. Far better than trying to freeze it with Dry Ice.

    I then used a spray bottle of Goof-off (not goo-gone) to easily wipe aay the mess left behind.

    I'll be up, but later in the day. I'm going golfing with some of my MINI friends up in Friendship, so I'll be by after. I'm also not sure if I'll be in the MINI or the bmw, depends on if I get the swap done or not.

    if we can get a hold of that fender roller somebody mentioned earlier, id like to do that. other than that, not much the car needs. i can bring tools too (i always have a tool box in the trunk)

    commend you on the winter removal. Mine had been sitting outside in the sun for several hours on a 90 degree day. I was expecting the worst with mine, its seems its the only thing that wanted to come out easily.

    did mine over the winter took no more than 5 hammer blows and everything jsut came out. Some are easy some are really stuck in tehre.

    I might try to go, I'll be at states solo competition in harrisburg on that saturday so its a little more running around but if Im around I'm bringing the s50 powered car. I used to live out that way.

    I cant believe the differences in difficulty people have experienced with trunk tar, mine scraped right out, zero effort.
