    e-i swap on the beater

    just wanted to say after my just developed a little rod knock (at 80k? eesh) i finally went ahead and pulled the motor/trans today on my es...


    yay for being out

    time for i engine+410lsd...should be ready in the next coming days..got little time up ahead and some prep to do before it will be done but ill try and get some time free after work to finish it.

          Cool. I think you owe Adam the 2.93lsd it came with in payment for the lost window strip tool lol. But seriously, he needs a new 2.93. And I need his 3.25 for my swap.

                  at that many miles it could just be you poped the head gasket. my 325e had a ping, sounded like a knock, once the gasket was pulled i found a huge crack. problem was the huge gap in compression on #6, new gasket = no more ping. have fun with that 4.10 should be quick a quick car.

                      yea i cant wait...thought it was a headgasket as well...but notices zero oil in coolant and no collant in oil...and it doesnt smoke?
