    WTB: e30 in Central PA

What's up you'ns. I've been trolling through craigslist looking for a cheap e30 with a little success and I thought I would just toss out a line here to see if anyone knew of one/had one that they were willing to sell. The few that I've seen on CL are all not quite what I want (4 door, auto, really bad mods), but I might have to go slumming if I can't find anything else. Thanks! :)

I guess my other question would be, how hard is a 5-speed swap? I'm pretty mechanically inclined and I know a guy nearby that races e30s so I have some options.

5 speed swaps arent for the faint of heart, like most involved mods in a 20 yearold car.
basically drop auto and drive shaft and shifter assembly, install fly wheel, pedal assembly, brake reservoir, master cylinder, tap into the reverse lights for the reverse switch on the trans install clutch and pressure plate, mount trans attach slave cylinder, bleed the master and slave cylinders connect your 5spd drive shaft and CSB.

therefore, their value is much greater.

I'd say $1000-1500. There's a Bronzitbeige coupe that looks like it lost its timing belt in DE that would be perfect, but it's way too far to tow. There are a couple others in the area that I'm looking into, mostly 4 doors, which isn't so bad.

If you have a truck, towing isn't bad. Rent a dolly from uhaul for $50 for a day and you're good to go. Brought a parts car home from Annapolis once that way.
