shrug, I would never buy a e30 from a dealership. NEVER ever has it ever been remotely good. not to mention its a complete waste of time even to consider it. You are paying a good 1000 more just because already, even if its as claimed.

-motor really loud, maybe valve adjust maybe more
              -everything is leaking
-spray can paint job (looks ok from 50ft) car used to be bronzit

              -interior trashed
              -tacho inop
-fails inspection for struts, all pads, foglight, tires
              -lots of noise/vibration/harshness while driving

the guy kept telling me a old guy owned it blah blah new clutch blah blah typical problems for an old car blah. i talked him down to 1000, the i thought about it and its not even worth that, so i walked away. maybe thats why its been on craigslist for over half a year?

HAHAHA! I drove 1.5 hours to take a look at that car weeks ago. it's an absolute disaster, a parts car is better than that. I got the same bs about some old guy owing it, etc, etc. I literally laughed at the guy, oh and I ran the carfax, that wasn't a 160k car, it was a 350k ish car, in '98 someone swapped clusters, back then it had 270k already on it!

What's you're price range? I've been looking for the same e30 and have found quite a few, I guess the real question is how far do you want to drive and how much work do you want to put into it?

I may be selling mine come spring time before summer. I really want an e36 again, but it may just be one of my phases. Would love to have both, but that would be expensive.

For what it's worth, it is blue with an m50 in it, semi-loud exhaust, sitting on some intrax race springs.

id prefer more or less a stock car, some suspension work or boltons ok...mainly to keep the price down. dont want to spend more than 2500. i have my turbo car that i drive and my truck, i just want another e30 for going to work, and an extra car for my brother to drive. im a mechanic and i can do anything to a car, so if it needs some maitenance/tbelt/clutch etc thats ok. i want the car to be reliable for when my brother drives it.

I know of a couple in the area, either richmond or philly that are cheap $1500 and below but need some work. There are plenty of later model verts for sale in the philly area, relatively low miles $2k and below. I've seen about 4 late model 318's as well.
