I am not sure what I plan to do with it, but I bought it from a guy who lives down the street from my boss. 1986 325e (eta) sedan, 5MT.
My boss checked it out and I bought it sight-unseen, other than the pics below. For what I paid, I still got a good (great) deal.
I may part it out and keep some parts for myself, but if the body is in as good of shape as it looks, I might see if someone wants to build it as a track car.
If it were a coupe, I'd be tempted to swap my motor and interior into it.
It looks pretty rough on the inside, but the body looks good with the exception of the swapped trunk lid and the missing fender that the PO put on his track car.
The motor has no head (gasket went) but the trans is there. I don't think it has a driveshaft, but the wheels are good and 2 tires are in great shape. The window motors work (supposedly) and the body seems straight.
If anyone wants the shell or trans or any particular parts off of it, let me know and we can talk. I doubt that I will be keeping it together, but it may be a good candidate for an M/S50 swap. I'd rather put the money into my 88 coupe, but with it being an 86 it is just about old enough for historic registration in MD or VA.
If I keep anything, it will be the rear subframe assembly and the wheels, but I am not attached to it.
I bought it from a guy who just wanted it out of his garage.
