Thanks for the help fellas. I know it will take a bit of diligence on my part, but I think it's doable. In reality I could make a one bedroom work, and just sleep in the 'living room' area.
On a side note, it is very interesting to see the price scale difference in location. Downtown KC, in the most busy area, you can score places all day long for 1g. Even a couple blocks away from the hyped Power an Light district there are apartments that are under $500. If you hit up a suburb it gets extremely cheap, around $550 for a multi bedroom house/duplex. So basically the DC area doubles in living cost.
