Swapping/Parting an E30

Thanks man. Got the car running pretty well, had a misfire I couldn't track down but after fueling up it went away so I'm saying it was bad gas. Feels much different than the M20 that's for sure. If only the idler pulley didn't start to squeak yesterday...

Just bought my first e30 and the muffler is rusted. Trying to keep my 325iC pretty stock and saw you had the cat back available. LMK.

Lol thanks man. I just had one of my buds help me physically get the motor and trans in. I eventually need to get another harness though if anyone has a OBD1 Vanos harness laying around. Mine's missing all of the OEM shrink tubing and grommets and such. I had a couple people say they wanted to come look at what I had laying around, a lot of the stuff has been moved to my womans dads garage so it's not in my parents driveway.

i imagine the oil filter housing gasket is leaking. I did it before i swapped it in my vert. But i assume it possible it needs to be replaced again.

From what I can see there are two round "holes" that look like some sort of plugs back by a line coming off the back of the housing. I can't get a good look at them to see what exactly is in there, but it definitely looks like it's coming out of those. I can't find anything on realoem or the Bentley manual I've got here. There is no oil above or next to, but in and under these spots and I can't see any other source of a leak.

do you still have the ac and accessories and the catback? if so i can pick it up and all the other m20 stuff you want out of there. I'm currently replacing my m20 and could use extra parts... I'm in baltimore let me know if still available.
