It’s winter. Time to get out the wrenches. Time for improvement, restoration, and to shave off every second you can before show/race season starts. Can you smell the opportunity?
You know what you need? Parts. Tools. New stuff. And it’s gotta be cheap. Let’s face it: this is r3v. We’re all broke. I have the solution: we’re having a parts swap. You should come. Bring your parts and car. And your friends. And your money (borrow some if you have to). Got a fender roller or other cool tools? Bring those too…
The swap will be on Saturday January 28th from 10:00AM-1:00PM at 7510 High Bridge Road, Bowie, MD 20720. Phillip and Dan (College Park Friday Meet regulars) have volunteered to let us park in their grass (yard parking y’all, can’t be too low) and set up at their house.
A couple of ground rules:
1. Please respect the space. Our hosts have been kind enough to have us so no tearing up the grass with burnouts and stupid tricks. This event is BYOB and BYOfood. Please pick up any trash or other stuff before you leave.
2. Don’t bring junk. I realize not everyone has a NOS MTech 1 kit lying around but if its broke or busted leave it at home. No one needs cracked swaybar links you took off the eta 10 years ago. And if it doesn’t sell please make arrangements to bring it home or have it properly disposed of. Crazy Ray’s will take all your scrap…..
3. Have a price and if possible label it on your stuff. This will make it so much easier to sell things and scope out stuff you might want.
4. Be ready to haggle but don’t take it personally if the deal doesn’t go through. The point of this event is for everyone to walk away happy with something they want.
If you would like to sell RSVP to this thread so we can get a good head count. No cost at all but we would like to know who is coming for planning. Table space is available but limited. Bring blankets or tables if you want to set out your stuff. Come early so you can set up before the masses arrive.
The goal of this event is to bring out local enthusiasts so we can clean out our closets and make our cars even better. I hope to see you there and score some good stuff!
