Blue Ridge Wheel Co won't fill and drill Style 5s

Just a heads-up for those interested. I emailed Wayne at Blue Ridge Wheel co about redrilling some style 5s to 4x100. He replied that they weren't comfortable with the amount of material left between the lug seat and the hub bore, so the search for a Baltimore local shop continues. :???:

It's been done dozens of times, and I haven't heard of anyone having a problem. They're not track wheels.

Try Ary at eurostop. He'd agree with you, and take it a step further. No need to even bother filling if it's not for racing...

They just don't want to ruin another set of 5s.

I have a set that are redrilled and they are fine. If you can, have them fill them before the redrill. Adds a little more structural integrity, but it shouldn't be a problem anyway.
