GONE - Free body repair panels, track tested! - Halethorpe, MD

The time has come to get rid of the shell of the our crashed Chump car. There are still a few decent sections left on the car, and they can be yours for free provided you remove them. Be prepared to bring your own tools. PM for specifics/to arrange a time. NB the car will most likely be scrapped by the end of March.

The car is scrap as the chassis rails are bent in front of front the shock towers, and behind the left rear tower. Doors, trunk, hood, and roof are not available.

Rear shock towers, windshield, and F&R battery trays NLA.

    Known serviceable panels/parts:

    L&R rocker panels
    Lower door jambs
    Windshield wiper "tray" area
    Front shock towers
    Transmission/driveshaft tunnel
    Fuel hard lines

No interest? The panels listed are in good shape, and the whole car has almost no rust.

Any other bits or pieces available off the car? Interior stuff, wheels, and what's the front lip?

All of the other usable parts are going on the new Chump car. By the end of the month it will be a non rolling shell.

The front lip is garden edging.

Still have the right front firewall intact? I need the metal for the front battery tray and as much of the firewall around it as i can get.

Also, what kind of shape are the rear shock mounts in?

The firewall/battery tray is all there and not cut if I remember correctly.

The left rear shock tower may be bent at the base as the floor is kinked there. Right side should be fine.

Free is the price, but you are welcome to bring cash/alcohol/E30 components to trade.

This weekend may work, will have to check with the team Cpt and get back to you. Do you plan to sawzall, grind or torch the parts out?

sounds good to me. and I plan to sawzall them. i have a battery powered one that's been quite handy in the past for cutting apart e30's.

Is any of the metal from the rear battery tray useable or is it too smashed up? If I could cut one up instead of remaking mine from scrap metal it would make it a lot easier.

                      PMd bimmerpirate.

The battery tray should be fine, it's possible the trunk floor on that side is distorted, IIRC the tray is fine.

Car now looks like this, get what's left!

EuroE30, get me those measurements and I will get to that shock tower.

shEck3lls0, the battery tray is good to go if you still want it.

Rear battery tray has been taken. Basically, there are rocker panels, door jambs, front shock towers.

Anyone want the rest of the car for scrap or as a project?

                              Car has been scrapped!!
