Thought I would post this diff here since its kind of a pain to ship. Case is nice and clean, had about 140k.
$200 picked up/ $250 shipped
FOR WHATEVER REASON THERE SEEMS TO BE SOME CONFUSION WITH THIS DIFFERENTIAL, LET ME EXPLAIN:
YES its a medium case, you can tell very clearly in the picture that it is a medium case.
YES its an LSD, both axle cups spin in the same direction simultaneously when you turn the pinion. It also has an S painted on the case, again very clearly pictured. It also has a tag on the cover that is how I know its a 4.10 and once again an LSD.
I got this diff with a car I bought, the previous owner kept it as a spare. It came out of a parts car he had at one point in time. I have never installed this diff nor have I driven a car with this particular diff installed. That being said I got screwed on three diffs within the past few years that were adverstised as "excellent working condition" All three came from R3V, two had bad pinion bearings and one turned out to be a 3.73 when it was advertised as a 3.46. I never persued getting my money back from the R3V members because I took the following into consideration:
A: It is a pain to ship back to the seller
B: It is a used diff, not new
C: The diffs still functioned, two were just really really noisy and the 3.73 was a shitty ratio with the S52 it was paired with (hence why I wanted a 3.46 in the first place)
D: In my opinion you roll the dice when you buy anything used, especially a drivetrain component
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE understand this is a used diff, it might blow up in 100 miles, it might last 100,000 miles of drifting. I have no idea!
