I think you say they are irksome because most people wanna be cheap as heck and get it for practically free. not saying that you directly are that way.

sometimes I just wanna say to someone. "your kidding right? this will cost you 3 to 5x that much somewhere else, and your asking 80% off my already low price?" is this a deal or a steal?

so I think asking for offers puts the pressure on the buyer to try and negotiate the right price.

It also is not in compliance with the forum you freely enjoy. A price needs to be listed. In a not so wishy washy way, the forum rules state this.

no, not listing a price typically leads to people making offers that they consider reasonable, then the seller getting real offended and butthurt because it's not what he actually wants for it... which is precisely why the mods made that rule

this isn't ebay, this isn't craigslist, this isn't a yardsale. i'm pretty sure OP has a good idea of how much he wants for the wheels, he's just fishing for a higher price

regardless, this isn't subject to opinion or argument, it's a forum rule. deal with it or list your stuff somewhere else
