A few of us are meeting up in Richmond and driving west towards wintergreen to have lunch at this BBQ place at the bottom of the mountains. After that were planning on doing some hill climbs and maybe a little parkway drive. Right now there are three or four BMWs and an RX-7 so bring what you have BMW or not, and if you know of some good roads post um.

Well ya got a week to put it back together man.
Sounds good Stu, you know Im in. Figure a few of us will meet up in the fan/vcu area then we can catch up with anyone else on the way out of town, maybe in Short Pump. We can take back roads from Short Pump for most of the way, then get on 29 and head up to Wintergreen.
This little bbq spot is really on point too, cant wait!!Comment

Wintergreen is 90 miles from Richmond but takes about 2 hours to get to.
The Blue Ridge parkway is just a few miles from there. We'll map out something in the next few days, but it should be perfect timing and weather for a nice Fall drive.Comment

I grew up in Abingdon, about an hour or so south on I-81 from Blacksburg. Too bad I'm stuck in Texas.'89 325i track sloot

For those still interested were gonna be meeting at the VCU Engineering Bldg parking lot on the corner of S. Pine and W. Cary St. at 11am on Sat. morning.
Here's a link of the route we will plan on taking up to the Wintergreen area. Back roads on the way up - then 64 on the way back. If we want we can make a loop and take the Parkway for awhile.
