what if you wanted it towed home? if they wont tow it from a residence to a residence, push it out onto the side of the road a little down the street and call their ass up. Ask them to tow it to your mechanic (to the meet). there, done.

The rocker closest to the firewall. But, AAA will tow to a residence, and I get three tows a year.

things going downhill doesn't sound too good.. jk

Should I get my bucket towed up there then? I'd love to have that thing back up and running again so that I can start a turbo build on my main squeeze. :D

Jeff, would it be too much trouble to leave my sedan up there for a day or two (so that i can make arrangements to come pick it up later)? I'll leave ya the keys if it gets in the way, or if you just want to drive a stock E30 around for some time... haha... lemme know!

Yeah, get it towed here, I don't mind. I suppose I have current say in what goes on here, as my parents won't be back til tomorrow evening/night, so I say it's cool.

I actually have done this job on a guy's car out in sterling. About a 7hr job 2 yrs ago, but I've pulled rocker shafts a few times since then, so it shouldn't be too bad. I'd say we should be able to get it done tomorrow no problem. Make sure you have a timing belt kit too, as that has to be pulled too.

As long as I havent gone diving through that parts box for pieces for my other e30, I should have t-belt, t-stat, waterpump, rocker, eccentric, gaskets and other tidbits. hopefully everything required for the job!
