HAha, The worst thing about a grid system is when they renumber streets in every new suburb "town". There can be several 1004 W Fake St. locations if you are not paying attention to the town name...dont ask me how I know.

Check this out, it takes me about 7 hour to get into Indianapolis, then about an hour and a half to Gary, Indiana (God must have spent extra time there with famines of biblical proportions). I pulled onto Grand Ave at 10 o'clock at night, and didn't get to Melrose Park until well past midnight. I went through campuses, cemeteries, parks, bridges, and what seemed to be random stop signs without intersections. Oh and not to forget a few dozen of random flashing yellow lights and light poles with polices strode lights flashing as if entire city was being pulled over.

So after my agonizing pilgrimage through the groin of Chicago, I woke up in the morning turned TV on, and someone got hit by a freaking train. 4 cars got destroyed by a train on GRAND AVE, and I don't remember crossing any train tracks, thought it was all potholes.

So on my way back, I thought I would outsmart the system and ran every toll booth through quick pass... Out of state tags, and they can suck it.


I did see 4 e30s cruising together though, and that got me excited, to bad I was in my Ranger. I loved all Russian restaurants and Eastern euro girls.

Yeah, that sums up much of Chicago. Potholes, police light poles, etc. I wish I knew where those e30s were cruising to! I think the drive up Lake Shore along Lake Michigan is one of the best urban drives in the world. The road is pretty smooth and the lake and city views are amazing. Next time you are here you should check it out!
