    Kansas City/Columbia, MO people questions

This isn't car related but figured I'd ask on the regional forum. I'm thinking about taking a job in Sedalia, MO and just am curious at what the area is like to live in. I was thinking of finding a place outside Columbia or Kansas City to commute from since Sedalia is so small. Let me know what you guys think about the area.
    Thanks!

It's very, very quiet. And dull. It's about an hour, hour and a half from anywhere really even vaguely interesting. I mean, it's a nice enough town, but kinda dull. Think Norman Rockwell...

If you like the slow lane you'll love sedalia. In all seriousness its really really beautiful country there. Lots of trees, small mountains and amazing lakes all around. Good folks and an all american air base (houses the B2 STEALTH BOMBER) right next door. They even host the missouri state fair.

So its pretty and about an hour from KC or the Lake of the ozarks.

Other than that it sucks. I doubt you get any food other than burgers and steaks out there.
No concerts from any big name bands or big art shows.

Probably not more than a couple bmw's out there period. Ford and Chevy country
