Maybe you guys can leave earlier. If you meet at the TA at about 8-8:30 you should make it in time. I can give directions from there to the Wendy's. If you decide to do that let me know. I will pm my cell# so you can call if you are going to be a little late. If we are 10 minutes late getting to TCD that would be much better than taking up the first half of the meet.

The meet is supposed to be from 12-4 @ TCD. I am not going to take over the event. My hope was to add to it. Sorry. We would love to have you join us. Plus, I have other obligations later in the day.

Our meets are pretty laid back. I assume people will be in and out. If you guys want to head out for a drive that's fine. 8-)

If someone wants rolling stills of their car, we can head out to 33 from Todd's place.

I think at this point we have two interested in the early drive.
Maybe one of them can take the rest of you up later in the day.

I didn't think 8 was that early...LOL. But then I get up at about 4:30am
on the weekdays and sleep in 'til 6 on the weekends.

BTW: take a look on a map at the state routes: 514, 60 (between 36 and 62), 715, 206, 520 up around Millersburg, Danville (NE of Columbus; follow 62 north from Columbus on a map). If anyone wants to do some awesome roads check those out. Watch your speed on 62 and 36, and watch out for Amish buggies. Those are the spring MR2 roads.

I am an Air Force person. I am neither a node nor anything but a serviceman who chose what branch to serve in based on what his specialty is to offer as a sacrifice for his country. I do not consider my Marine, Navy, Coast Guard, Army brotheren/sisterern to be any less. I consider them to be equal parts of the body called us. U.S. in case it does not make impact.

After all that, please explain what this Air Force node thing is. Because to me, and I may be wrong, it comes across as if we are not only not part of the whole but a source of detriment.

Dude, what the fuck are you talking about? Im in the airforce too. I work in Network administration.

A node is any device connected to the network via media (cat 5 cable, fiber optic cable). A node can be anything from a desktop PC, to a printer, to a server. I work on nodes. Computers, Printers, Servers, etc.

But I have a son who decided to join the Marines because we in the Air Force, according to him, were too soft. He called us the Chair Force, and a gang of other new nomenclatures.

I told him that all that is cool, but when the bullets fly--it won't be like the movies. Folks do not get back up and star in the next film. So...when I saw node, I thought, what the heck is this dudes problem. Because this Air Force father has had to travel to Walter Reed to see his "tough" son learn how to walk again because he lost a leg and had his arm crushed in a road side bombing in Iraq. When I saw him, his first words were, "Well if I was soft like you all I would still have a leg,..." And all his Marine buddies looked at me like I was a traitor because most of us get shot down out of the sky, not rocked by roadside stuff.

I apologize but I am not only hurting for him, but feel slighted that they would think I care less, or am less patriotic because I chose to fly. Also, I think I spoke to you, if you are the same person I think you are, in the cabin in Columbus. Had I known it was you, I would not have my alarm set to so sensitive. But it takes a person back when he sees his son hopping around on one leg, and that son is not a quarter of a century old.

No problem, hope all is well with your son. Air Force gets a bad rep, but lets face it, it is the Air Force that provides the superior firepower.

Marines are great in their own right, as well as all other forces. All are fighting for a noble cause which is freedom within the USA and abroad.
