    Detailing Feeler

So, this is hopefully going to gauge some local interest in those who don't detail their own cars, or pay to have their cars worked on, or know someone who may be interested.

The basic idea is, I went from working full-time and saving boat loads of money, to not working at all, going to school full time, but I still have to keep the car on the road w/ gas, insurance, maint., etc. You guys get it.
Also, some funding for my growing shooting habit as well as a possible 24v swap wouldn't be too bad, eh?

So, I started thinking about how I could keep my main focus on school, but maybe bring some $$ in to fund my madness, but work around my own (school) schedule. Enter, detailing.

I'm not sure what I'd offer, but I'm capable of simple stuff like washing, claying, to waxing, and I just polished my e30 and think I did a pretty decent job at it. Dunno pricing as well, since I haven't looked into what a competitive / local price may be. Basically, this is still a rough idea, but an idea none the less.
If there's interest, perhaps it's worth the start up cost to pursue this. I don't have a schedule, price list, services offered, or anything set up, but I would ideally work from home, and on my own schedule.

Feel free to email me directly if I don't respond to the thread. Probably means I'm not receiving the email updates.

like serious, I am curious, I have actually thought about this myself at one point, and i want to see if it works out.

I would think to have a good detailing business you would of course have to own an immaculately clean car, and have a clean looking detailing shop. That way you give a good first impression to potential customers. And you could also totally work on your own time. Like you could have working hours from 2am-5am or something like that. have the customers drop their cars off over night.

Well, I'm not necessarily, yet, looking to turn this into a business. Just a service offered, to make some $$

Quite serious here. The M won't fit in Puddles' conveyor belt as it's too low, and I have no cleaning/detailing gear nor a supply of free water (well water and rationing ftl), so my car won't be getting waxed any time soon. Lemme know what you think as far as prices go.

This is true. I'm kinda excited, this is gonna be one of the larger, more organized things I've attended. I'm used to chaos, assholes picking fights and nutswinging, street racers, and ricers. Should be fun.

lol, I don't think you need to. The stuff I'm referring to is harmless in person, just a bunch of people getting together on the weekends on in Broomfield.

yup. when people congregate, the incidence rate of asshattery increases exponentially.

                        Science.

                          the theory of asshattery explained.

                          its a pretty simple relationship, isn't it, like f(asshattery) = (people)^3

                          or something like that.

Sam, (people)^3 is douchebaggery, asshattery is just squared i believe.

anyway, I hate to do it, but can we get back to topic? Interest in detail services.
