Took a shortcut through a parking lot today, and ripped a hole in my oil pan... Fortunately found a new pan in CO already, but it is still kinda a bummer. I'll take pictures when I raise the car up to work on it.

I guess it should be: buy skid plate first, then install the new springs!

Prob due to the factory front shocks. Bad damping (or no damping) allows more spring movement if the impact is sudden.

Bingo. Just put on new springs too, which didn't help any. They are green, and lower the front a noticeable amount, but I have no idea what they are yet. They were free, though, so the price was right! However the front shocks are completely blown.

Yup. M42 vs asphalt around the concrete drainage thing in parking lot and the M42 lost. At least I ground away some of the asphalt.

Story: I was cutting through an unfamiliar parking lot and looking for an exit instead of examining the obstacles in the parking lot. Turns out that I didn't see how deep the drainage thing was from my peripheral vision.

if you want to get rid of your M42, let me know, I want one. I kinda miss driving my E30. The E28 has even less power, and is WAAAY slower, and its a bit annoying.

Nice show today at Ed Carroll in the Fort, westfest, lots of nice p-cars, audi's, v-dubs, and some exotics, was worth the trip down. Also saw a lowered e28 on style 5's in the Big Thompson canyon. Sam?
