    Place to weigh cars?

Anyone know a place to weigh cars? I heard sometimes you can find mining locations or truck stop scales that are still on at night and look though the window? I am not too thrilled about driving up to a random business and ask them to weigh a car for me.

Only places I can think of are Bandimere and a sand and gravel place off of Santa Fe north of Mineral in Littleton, but they are a business.

just go to a junk yard. Ask nicely to weigh your car and start explaining all stuff you did to your car to the Spanish guy. He will be so confused he'll just want you to leave. So then they usually let you use the scale.

I bet junk yards/truck stops aren't going to be very accurate.... vs a race shop with nice corner scales..

I have a buddy who weighed his car at the landfill in golden. He just drove up asked the attendant and they said sure. I'd give it a try.

                      time to bump this thread!!

So I just stopped in at a junkyard today on hwy 34 that runs between Loveland and Greeley. It was a totally ancient junkyard, 90% of the cars there were from before the '30s, but there was this great truck scale that was super accurate, i weighed myself on it, and it was spot-on... So I asked the girl behind the counter if I could pull my flying brick onto it, and she said certainly. So i did, and I am pumped! My car weighs 2560 lbs with me in it!! That means if I yank all the audio including the sub, amp, all speakers, and CD deck, I will be in the 2400s!!

Wow that is light! I might stop by there when I set up my alignment at SCR.

Wow that is impressive. I need to get my M on the scales when I pull the AC and the sound deadening.

Sam, you don't happen to have a google location or something do you? I've only driven on 34 to Greeley a few times, and I don't remember seeing anything out there.... at all..

PM me for detailing services in the Longmont / Boulder Area in Colorado!
