    Colorado Visit

    Hello all you Mountain timers!

I'm grabbing a flight to Gunnison CO tomorrow and will be there until next Tuesday and then will be flying to Denver with a friend to look at accounting firms.

I was just curious to know if there will be any meets locally that I can't miss through the 19th-25th of this month?

If not, are there any sights in Denver that I absolutely cannot miss? Or bars/restaurants that cannot be passed up?

Unfortunately I won't be driving or else I would love to meet up for some shoots with you locals, but Im not opposed to grabbing some beers :D

Lastly, we're hitting some slopes in Gunnison but I'd love to do some hiking near/in Denver.

    Any suggestions would be welcome!

    Thanks,
    Paladin

Gunnison is a stretch from Denver. When you're in Denver though, there's plenty to do.

Um, there is way way too much stuff to do here.

Red Rocks is always a good place to stop by and drive/walk around. There are a lot of trails that probably aren't too muddy. Neat rocks and good scenery of the city.

A drive up lookout mountain is fun too, especially at night.

Woodys pizza in Golden has good food/beer on tap.

I guess I am partial to the Golden area, not too much into the city scene so I am not really sure what to do there.

You could always put my 4.10 diff in my car while I am out of town :)

Bars in Denver and Boulder. Good food everywhere, depending on your taste. We love our guns (at least a few of us do.... ;) ) There really is a lot to do here... It does suck you'll be missing the autocross and Euro meet by a few days.

You also experience the awesomeness that Colorado calls weather. 65 one afternoon and then a foot of snow the next.

yeah tell me about it. Yesterday I was driving around with all the windows open and in my t-shirt and sunglasses. Today, I spent 15 minutes scraping ice off my car with numb and shivering hands.

                stinkin' Colorado.
