BTW, i hit 4 yards, it was epic!!! the last yard had lots of BMWs, but it wasn't a pull and pay, i wasn't allowed in the yard. :(

How'd telling Maaco to fuck off feel?

Did the motor at least look decent? CNC machine shops on campus mean I can adapt anything to anything.

David, i didn't take a look at the 540i, I just know that a 1993 540i is automatic. I didn't actually go to the yard w/ the 540i. And what sucks is i didn't even get the chance to tell Maaco to f*** off, because they laid me off like 2 weeks ago!!! Well, if they ever call me again back into work, I will have my chance!!

Adopt-A-Part has one, but its a non-pull and pay. You just ask for the parts and they get them for you. Uber gay, but they have more BMWs than all the pull and pay yards combined.

I've never actually been to Adopt-a-Part, but the guy was super cool over the phone.

I had been searching for an m52b28 crankshaft and he finally found one.
After looking into it, he then told me that it came out of a block that threw a rod.
He said something to the effect "sorry, dude, this guy didn't just blow a head gasket, this threw a rod through the block. there's a big hole in the side, so I totally would not feel comfortable selling this"

not that I would buy one like that, but I was really pleased that, even as a junkyard, they were trying to put quality/safety before $$$

but ultimately, Sam's right.....if you don't get to pull it yourself, then it's pretty gay. Blake's Small Car salvage has a couple e30s as well, (ix stuff) but they pull it all for you. They'll let ya walk around.....just no pulling.

indeed, thats why i hate going to those type of junkyards, they have way more stock, but fuck you on the price. i remember this guy was trying to sell me a pair of used control arms, for like upwards of 250. and in the same yard i saw like 5 e30s, strut housings and shit everywhere, needless to say i didn't get them, but it sucks how they wont let you pull the parts.

however, i can see why, they can pull the stuff off properly, and be able to utilize more of the car for parts, you wouldn't believe how many times i found a part i wanted in the yard, just to see its been hacked to shit to get to another part, i hate that about uPull and pays...

U-Pull-And-Pay denver has a 1995 525i, Green, with Dove interior. Most of it is still there.

There is a aerly model vert on Santa Fe with alright seats drivers is a little torn but not so bad.... and a early 318 on peoria nothing good from it tho...
