    SCCA PDX on May 8th

Anyone planning on going? I will probably just go out to watch/volunteer/take photos because my car will not be brake worthy or pass TT tech yet.

No interest? If not then I might just help Ben out with his car to get it ready for the BMWCCA school.

I want to at least go check it out. I am also thinking of working a corner all day so i can earn a free PDX.

...that is, if i can coax my car to come down off of its jack stands. it must be afraid of those new poly bushings I have been installing....

HPR, and the Free PDX I don't think is really worth it....

Oh, and I wouldn't be opposed to help in prepping for the BMW school :)

Also, has anyone here deleted their A/C? My old man is convinced the weight savings isn't worth the trouble.

What do you mean you don't think it is worth it? You seemed pretty stoked after the last pdx. I would be willing to work at one to save a couple hundred bucks. As for the a/c thing I just cut my belt (lazy move several years ago). I can't remember what the exact weight savings is but I think it is in the neighborhood of 20-30 pounds.
Oh and Ben, I will let you drive my car when I get the wheel shit worked out.

Wheelgap is like a vagina. The more fingers you get in, the worse it is.

I was stoked after doing the Advanced PDX. Which is like 1.5 hours on track or something. Getting a free PDX after working a corner is only like 1 session on track, no instructor. So like 20 minutes or something?

What wheels shit? Shoot me a text

I took my AC out. If it isn't working then there is no reason to leave it in. On it's own I didn't notice a difference but doing the no AC + remove 50 pounds of trunk tar + take out spare tire there is a difference. I only know this because the big hill on 93 I could never make it up in 5th without slowing down, after all that I can at least maintain speed. Not much of a difference but w/e it keeps me entertained.

Yeah, my tar's out, but I wanna get the A/C out since I don't care to try and fix it...

I may come and watch. I'm still having problems with my check engine light.

The Free PDX is worth it if you were planning on working a corner or familiarizing yourself with the SCCA program. But to make it a track day? not so much.

Definitely delete the AC. It's heavy, and on the front end of the car. You really don't need any more reason than that.

You *do* get an instructor with regular PDX.

my question is why NOT ditch the AC? its not like you will bloody need in in Colorado, its almost May and the high today was like 45 degrees.
