    Beer and Bikes Tour (Boulder)

My friends and I are putting together a Boulder Brewery Tour via velocipede on August 7th. Probably starting around noon or 1ish, but that's dependant on some of the breweries which have limited tour hours on weekends. Not sure where we're meeting yet in Boulder, though most likely in the vicinity of Foothills and Colorado, and then biking around like 'tards from there.

Here are the breweries we're gonna try to hit up:
    -Redstone Meadery (maybe)
    -Boulder Beer
    -Twisted Pine
    -Avery (this place rules)
    -Upslope (N. Boulder...maybe)
and then finish off with a couple brewpubs such as Walnut Brewery or the one next to Catacombs (Tap House?)
also Mountain Sun is really good

IT'S NOT MANDATORY TO BIKE (though more fun, slightly more legal and way more safe)
Feel free to carpool or meet us at all of our stops once we get a more solid itinerary. I know at least one group will be driving (with a DD).

    All are welcome to join!
Anyone interested lemme know so I can keep fresh info coming your way.

they are, but they do tours by appointment, which is why we need a semi-accurate RSVP count.

Based on last years experience, we're only realistically going to fit in 3 breweries unless we haul ass, and the point is to relax and enjoy beer and company, and then try not to die in between.

So at this point it looks like Boulder Beer or Twisted Pine, Avery, and then Taphouse, Alehouse or whatever the hell that thing is called.

Does anyone need a bike? I may have an extra one at that point.
Or are people planning on driving/meeting us there?

I have a bike, POSSIBLY a second one to lend out... We need a date though to see if this is plausible

itinerary not quite solid yet, but I do have an extra bike if anyone needs one.

tentatively looks like meeting at noon at colorado/baseline, followed by twisted pine, avery and then the draft house.

We could add Mountain Sun in there too, hit that on the way to the Draft House.

                    Whaddya think?

                      sure!
all plans are subject to spontaneous (drunken) plan changes!
it would also not be difficult to convince the group to reconvene at the CU bowling alley afterwards

                        here's the official invite:

"Beer and Bikes is officially on for Saturday, August 7! Here's the mini-tour:

--Avery Brewing Company (back by popular demand!) 5763 Arapahoe www.averybrewing.com
--Twisted Pine, 3201 Walnut Street www.twistedpinebrewing.com
                        --Boulder Draft House, 2027 13th Street www.boulderdrafthouse.com

Meet at my house, 4145 Monroe Drive, at 11:30 a.m. if you're planning to bike to Avery with me. Otherwise, we can meet at Avery at noon.
Then, we'll head to Twisted Pine, where you can get FREE beer if you bring at least three nonperishable food items from their online list (peanut butter, canned fruit and cereal are some options.)
Our last stop is Boulder Draft House on 13th Street near Catacombs. They have delicious food and beer named after our fair president!

It's called "Beer and Bikes," but bikes aren't actually required if you want to drive or DD."

Need to meet up in the middle of the tour or need directions? Call Peter
