Got the car running! I was right, battery was dead and i fouled up the plugs. as soon as I got a new battery, new plugs, pulled the fuel pump fuse and let the car run with the existing fuel in the cylinders, it idled for 45 seconds before dying, so a LOT of fuel was dumped into the cylinders.

as soon as it was done burning the fuel, plugged the fuel pump fuse back in and car started right up. Ah I love the e30 :)

hopefully it was just a dead battery, cause if it's the alternator, you'll have another dead battery soon enough.
