How much would you charge for a 95 M3 windshield job?

You know, my windshield has no cracks and very few pits. I may look into this when it does happen though.

lol fair enough... If you stumble across a real price or ballpark for the e30s, then let us know? I wanna get it done eventually.

150 may even be a little high for our cars, and an e36 would definitely cost more because it is glued in and requires a lot more work. The price to install a windshield largely depends on the model and year of a car and I know of specific vehicles where the glass alone is more than 200 bucks. I worked for a company which prides itself not so on much being the cheapest but doing the absolute highest quality work. There is a lot more that goes into most windshields than one might think. For example I just replaced the glass in my cousins 91 CRX and it was so badly hacked by the previous installer that the pillar was completely rusted through underneath. I ended up putting roughly five hours into the job to make it right and through my experience that sort of thing isn't that uncommon. I would say 3/4 of the windshields that i replace have rust starting and the only reason is because of the installer being lazy. On the otherhand, the windshield on an e30 is pretty simple and isn't glued in, hence the low price. There is a lot I could say about the subject because sloppy glass work really pisses me off (I have to fix all of it) but I'll quit here.

Off the top of my head I would say 150 installed for a brand new windshield on any e30. I would want to take a look at your car before to make sure I didn't need to get anything else such as the lock strip or molding.

Gavin, give us a ballpark on a new windshield? Mine's not necessarily "pitted"... more like sandblasted to all hell... It's the OEM windshield from when the car was fucking manufactured, and somehow after spending its whole life in CO, never cracked or broke.... BUT, it's impossible to see out of in some lights... I was planning on replacing it next spring after the roads are cleared up a bit, but have no idea what kinda funding it'd take.

    Pit Repairs

Hey all, just wanted to let everyone know that I fix pits in windshields. I worked for a glass company for about a year so I'm pretty dang good at it and I would guarantee all the work I did against breaking. I'm not sure if there is any interest in this but I'm in school full time so I am trying to find ways to make some money as girlfriends and 23 year old cars require a lot of it :). Pit repairs are a lot cheaper than replacing the entire windshield once it cracks out so it is definitely worth it IMO. If anyone is interested give me a call or text me at 303-710-5231.
    Thanks a lot, Gavin.
