Yeah, I'm going back and forth on tire size, offset and width.
No, the Clubbe is not currently lowered, but will be come spring 2011.
Pics are available, PM me. Don't want to take away from Bishop's thread.

Good stance! I need a 17" wheel package (or larger, but not prefered) to fit over the JCW Brembo's.

From what I've read there is a G and GG compound here in europe, but only one in the states. Most people run incorrect tire pressures and get the groove of doom.

I'm hopping to put 15 or so laps on mine today, gotta head out to the garage to put them on the car now:pimp:

Hmmmmm, thats interesting. I'm just basing my decision for tires on what I've read on various forums, and it was also a big red flag when Spec e30 and Smash Miata went to R888s and back to the RA1

and a bit closer to the Arc8 sizes, here is a R53 running staggard style 5's that have been fill n drilled. He also had the backs shaved a bit to raise the offset to the mid 20's. I believe the 2nd gens can swallow a bit more wheel than the 1st gens, but it's still a tight fit.

    Edit:

I've read a lot of unhappy americans with this tire, but it is by far the most popular tire for track day fun out here in europe. I have a set of 195/50/15's on the mini above, and I am amazed at what these skinny tires do. Simply a blast to drive on!

The 15x8 is perfect for R comps. Sucks balls for street tires (no wide enough good street tires), epic win for R comps (235/55/15? win)

The 15x7.....meh. It's another 15x7 Spec E30 wheel. Go wider.

That's great as I would love to know what clearance limits I have with a tire mounted to see what troubles (or not) I may encounter.
Lets chat; maybe swing by tomorrow [10/3] to try one on?

I may be interested for a test-fit on the Clubman.
I assume wheels only, no rubber?

    Erik,

I went through two sets of these wheels when I had my E30. They're awesome wheels. 4x100, et25, 57.1mm, ~17lbs.

I dunno if they'd fit though due to the offset, the Mini's higher vw-esque offset right?
