Holy shit guys, calm down. Did i ever say I wanted showroom quality at $100? I'm just looking for a relatively cheap place to get an exhaust done, period.

I dont care how it looks, as long my exhaust tips are level. I'm a sophmore in college, financially independent from the parents at the age of 19 paying for my own rent, car insurance, tuition (out of state) etc. so back off. And I stated in my initial post that i paid $250 for a full 2.5" mandrel bent turbo back in seattle and they want me to pay $400+ for just an catback that's less than 4 feet in length and where I supply my own muffler WIHTOUT mandrel bends is just straight ridiculous.

Lol I agree, my rant wasn't pertaining to you. There's a few shops in Longmont but I doubt the price will change much. Cost of steel is always changing (usually for the worse) and the economy and shit hasn't helped much. I think Clark paid like $200 for his track pipe, which is like a 4 foot section with flanges on each end... Highway robbery

PM me for detailing services in the Longmont / Boulder Area in Colorado!

whoa chill bro, im not sure anyone was jumping down your throat. If thy were, let me know, and I'll slash their tires.

and cats? me? pshaw!! who needs cats? No one in Larimer county anyway! ha ha!

And i am not doing headers back, just cut the exhaust right before the cat, put a Magnaflow and a resonator inline where the cats once were, and then bend straight out the side and exit in front of my driver's rear wheel. Only one bend, one tip, one flanged connection, and maybe a custom exhaust hanger. the goal here is to reduce weight, not get power gains, althogh a small power gain may be the result anyway. This exhaust setup will probably strip 100 lbs off my car, which is significant. It will be down to 2200lbs.

Yeah, boulder muffler quoted me $60 to replace my muffler tips. High compared to the prices I would pay back in Iowa, but maybe it's just the area. I will get the name of the place that did some work to my friends E34 and you can give them a call. I can't remember if they were cheap or not.

sorry guys severely hung over so though those were aimed at me lol my badddd.

but just swung by boulder muffler, he wants $200 to make a small y-pipe and run 2.5" piping for 2 feet into a muffler I supply. not gonna happen.

Ken's wants $140 so i might just go that route. put the car in the air for the first time and see that my rear diff is leaking. time for a rebuild gahhh

As long as it is the output shafts or the rear cover it is super easy to replace those seals on the diff, the input requires a bit more
