    Henna 325

This is a shot in the dark. I am seeing if there are any early model henna E30's, must be a M20, or swap I guess. I am only exploring the local option right now.

    MUST be hennarot
    Manual
    M20 or greater
    NO rust

I am willing to trade my car + cash on either persons end. I will pay more for extras like BBS, Mtech I, Euro bumpers, dogleg, etc. Depending on condition I will buy it outright too.

I am VERY picky. I love henna and how it is a somewhat rare factory color. Henna early model + euro bumpers + Mtech 1 is my favorite E30. I just got my full time job offer so I need to decide if I want a classic cruiser or Mtech 2/paint my car, etc. I might just say screw it and go back to a E46 too, I want to see my options.

        I have a M44 car and a M20 car, I won't give up the sound of the M20.

I didn't know Henna was a color option on non-M3s.

Big +1 on M20 sound vs M42. If I wanted the sound of a buzzy Honda, I'd buy a Honda. The M20's shriek at 7200rpm is just awesome.

10hrs in the Engineering Center and counting, 5 more at least to go.

Maybe if you peg it at 7200rpm constantly for an hour, but I had no problems with my rockers on track, autocross, and me redlining it for two years.

Internet wisdom usually falls flat in the face of reality, this would be yet more proof.

It does happen, but not nearly as often as S52s eating themselves at same revs.

Most Henna's are e and eS's due to the color was being phased out around 86/87. Early M3 came with option of rot color either Hennarot orZinnoberrot.

VW used Mars red which is another like color, most orangey reds were phased out as they are harder to upkeep and people did not buy them.

blefevre: congrats on the job offer

Henna looks best on an e21 323 IMO - definately shouts late-1970's a bit more than it did for the 80s.
...what hasn’t been done to an m20 yet?

I personally disagree, but sound aside, an M42 car is WAY slower than a good M20 car in real-world driving.

I'm with Brad on this, if/when I'm getting another E30, it'd be with an M20 or with another 6cyl swapped in already.

Sound, reliability, power, torque, ease of finding parts/repair manuals.....it's my preferred stock non-M E30 motor.

                              Plus, you can't do SpecE30 with a 318.

(Brad- if you do end up selling your car for a Henna......ring me up.)
