I'm buying it Monday. Probably not a smart decision, but I gave my word that I would. You can haz ride once it's mechanically solid. Gonna need quite a bit of cosmetic TLC though.

It's a mis-matched interior. Black seats, black door cards, but the carpet and the headliner are some wretched colour.

Thanks for having Dave call me yesterday. Got some good things squared away!

Hooray for another project to rob from my airplane funds! :-|

I have driven the car you're buying, it was very, very fun. Thanks for buying it and removing all the temptation for me to make a bad financial decision!

Looking for a clean e30 shell for a project.

Fun cars...best sideways car I've owned! Better save for some tickets and tires.

Roland, just go over to the glider place, go for a ride, satify the need to fly.

My driving style has thankfully calmed down over the last few years, but advice noted!

There is no such thing as ever satisfying that need lol.

Roland, don't buy it that's a bad decision!

                          OP swap the m5 for my 540 (95 6spd)

                          Everybody wins :D

By the way I wonder what is the difference in acceleration between the two (m5 and 540). I've heard that in some disciplines the 540 might be faster. Anyone driven both so can give an opinion?

By the way car looks great, congrats Roland!!!

The S38 has more top end without a doubt, from my recollections the 540i had more low end since neither have VANOS to flatten the curve so to speak. So AutoX and street use, the 540i would probably be the better buy. For drag racing, track, and canyon driving, I'll take the S38.

Either way though, thank you very much!
