I'm heading up chimney and down enchanted tomorrow around 530. Were you by chance gliding today? Red and white glider?

Dude my knee isn't quite up to Chimney just yet. Should be in a week or so. I'll drop a line for sure when I'm down. That was either BJ or Leif. My glider is red with a black and white strip (same on in my sig). I saw them flying over today. I was so fucking jealous. It looked like the east really pushed through this afternoon.

I will probably be doing the t-belt on my car on saturday. I will hit up somewhere on Sunday if it's nice, I have learned quickly that I am a little out of shape from the winter for any big climbs.

Any opinions on somewhat easy rides? I might head out to the marshall trail area if I can't think of anywhere else.

Snow/rain combo may have drenched the trails for Saturday.

Anyone know if the trails are clear around Boulder? I want to try to beat the rain on Saturday.

This wind will help out a lot. I would be shocked if they were still wet by tmrw.

Trails are dry for the most part. Walker Ranch and Betasso seem to drain the best. Watch out for the deadly clay sections in the Marshall system. I've had them shear derailleur hangers so bad it looked like toffee.

Has anyone camped near Fruita? Or is it easier to get a hotel? I am starting to plan my summer and hope to fit this in.

Wheelgap is like a vagina. The more fingers you get in, the worse it is.

Yes, tons of great camping. It fills up quick on the weekends especially this time of year. Great camp sites on the BLM land north of I-70, Highline Lake State Park has real bathrooms and a lake, and there are free "established" sites just south of I-70 at the Rabbit Valley exit. If you want to camp away from all the people there are a couple really good sites north of the Rabbit Valley exit on Otto's Ridge, but they are completely unimproved so you have to leave no trace (i.e. shit in a bucket). That's where I always go.

Trails you must ride are the Mary's Loop system, pics here (this has some pretty intense exposure so get your skills in order first), Chutes and Ladder's system north of I-70, and the stuff in the Colorado National Monument.

Dude that is fucking sick. It makes Crankworks look like road biking! At first I was like, yeah I can ride that then he hits those big wall gap jumps. Fuck that. It made my waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles hurt just watching it!
