High Flow Cat

Looking to start replacing my exhaust and wanted to start with a high flow cat, but am having just a tough time really finding one to get. Just wondering what cat you guys are using or recommend? thanks

Don't? The exhaust in an e30 is not the restriction you think it is....you gain very little hp and tq, sometimes none. I wouldnt waste my time and money.

Not worried about the restriction mainly just the rust and the damage to everything under there. I guess I should just say a catalytic converter in general don't really need a high flow

I would price out a dual in dual out magnalfow stainless steel one. That should last a while and I would assume they have a warrenty on it.

orrrrr... do it cheap, cut the cat out, weld on flanges, get a straight piece of pipe, weld flanges on that too, and just swap in your cat every time you do emissions, and then just slap pipe back in when you are done.

That way you strip a good 30-40 lbs out of your car 99% of the time, AND your cat stays in good shape, since it barely will be used, and will pass emissions easier.

You did mention your cat was in crap shape though, just find a junkyard one.

I had some sort of high flow cat on my car when I bought it. Wouldn't pass emissions, not sure if it was bad or what.

I got a magnaflow 48 state cat or w/e put on and was all good w/ the emissions.

side note: just got my new exhaust done @ Boulder Muffler. Jeff does good work.

how often do you have to do emissions in Colorado every other year? I just don't want my exhaust to be really loud then though
