I am looking to borrow a 80-200mm f/2.8 AF-D to see what the autofocus speed is on my D7000. Anyone have one I can borrow for a weekend? I will gladly put down a deposit.

What are you going to be shooting? I love my 80-200 af-d but am planning a canon switch here in the near future.Originally posted by z31maniacI just hate everyone.

Huh, looks like they upped it to 280, still not 320 AND it's a stop faster. W/E, canon vs nikon is a stupid debate. They both offer nearly the same performance and same selection of lenses within a few % price difference.
I am looking for a lens that can be used for motorsports and wildlife. I can't afford the AFS version for quicker autofocus and I really dont want to give up the 2.8 at full zoom.

You'll be fine with the af-d for now. Buy used and sell used when you feel you want a 70-200 vr1. But you'll love the af-d... just takes some more focusing skill to get fast objects.Originally posted by z31maniacI just hate everyone.
