    GC = good.

no rear sway e30 = meh. i'd keep it, it will be marginally better with it. Also I agree with Bimmerman, more travel is better in the e30 rear. (insert jokes here)

Looking for a clean e30 shell for a project.

one day I may do the cheap GC option, where I just buy the springs and I get front shocks from an E30 iX and shorten my housings.

...just thought i'd interject that in there.

Need to stop buying cheap cars and fix one.. I learned the same way.. the more you have the less attention the primarily one does.

          Thanks!

I will throw the racing wheels on when I get home to test that. Probably going to decrease that camber for street use. up it at the track.

Cheap and suspension are like oil and water. It just doesn't work, no matter how much you want it to.

it is still just as good, all the same parts, I will just be doing more work myself, like cutting/welding, and buying shocks separate.

to save what, $200 vs buying it all as a kit? Penny wise and pound foolish, the hours you'd spend to DIY could be better spent doing something else and not worrying if you have everything included or not.

Not to piss anyone off, but that was my thought process exactly. I have access to a welding machine and can weld. No powder coating though. Honestly, 200 for cut housings/weld/swaybar reinforcement tabs/powdercoating is not bad.

Remember that this is coming from the engineer that wants everything to do with cars other than work on them.

Yup. I like driving cars more than working on them, so ill gladly spend some more money for a bolt on setup that foesnt require hours of time to diy together.

running a rear sway on an E30 is kinda pointless imho. Just run the stiffest spring you can and call it a day. You want to MINIMIZE movement back there, since it's so loose to begin with.

yep, that's why BMW designed the E30 to have a factory swaybar. Because they are pointless.

Just read this whole thread. Can't wait to see the set up with racing wheels on.
                              JOY IS AN E30...

This logical fallacy is one of the most annoying that I see perpetuated.

BMW designed the car with plastic radiator endtanks, you MUST use plastic radiator endtanks!

BMW designed the car with 14x6" wheels, you MUST use 14x6" wheels!

Don't stay stupid shit like that. Thx.
