Rocky Mountain BMW CCA Spring Driving School

I know there are mixed feelings about the value of this school on here, but I thought it was really productive. It was only my second time at HPR and I feel like I made some significant progress. Riding in my instructor's Nissan GTR was freakin' amazing. I rode in another instructor's M Roadster and learned a few specific tips for the M Coupe. I also got footage of Josh's off, which was really educational to watch. He's a great driver, even with my 145hp advantage we were dead even for most of the session.

Got some cool shots of sick cars.

    Much more on the blog:

The BMW CCA Rocky Mountain Region had its Spring Driving School at High Plains Raceway (HPR) last weekend. I had driven the M Coupe at HPR ...

Gah. Silly equal restraint rule kept me from going. I've always had fun and learned tons at the schools.

FWIW, Josh's car is on the GC Bastard 5 lug kit, and he's also the one who sold me my E30. I think his car's got a 2.8 M20 stroker now too.

Oh and that 3.0CSL is droolworthy. And worth much more than the V10 R8 and GTR put together.

I have nothing against the BMWCCA schools, I'm just going to spend my money elsewhere for other reasons not involving politics.

The BMW club has a great product. Glad you had fun Alex.

          Thanks Alex.

That was a good time. The car withstood almost 330 track miles between my dad and myself out there. Good times.

^ Good times man. Your car is tight! Glad it held up.

The 3.0CSL was by far my favorite car of the day. It was in perfect condition. I didn't get any good interior shots, but everything was perfectly sorted.

Hansel = Josh? From Autosport? Cal's son? I bought my car from your dad lol. That looks like good stuff, I didn't come cause of some of my own reasons and I don't really think I was fair to give them a bad rap before, I just didn't have a great first experience.

No, Hansel isn't Josh from ASW.

You really should give them another try, I've always had a blast at their events.

Yeah I know who you are but I wasn't sure who we were all talking about and what not... Cool that they were out there though.

Not personally driven, but I've attended as a guest and thought the program was reasonable.
