    Anyone have one of these?

    Just curious if someone bought a helicoil kit to fix a stripped oil pan and has extra helicoil thread inserts and the necessary tools to install. I can pick it up and give you some monies, and return the tools when finished.

    they sell the whole kit w/ all you need usually. You just need a drill bit, the helicoil, a tap, and the helicoil installer tool.

      Yeah I just hit a bunch of auto stores and none had an M14x1.5 kit. Does thread pitch matter since I am enlarging the hole either way? Like, would I be able to go with an M14x1.25 instead, considering those are readily available?

        you can do whatever thread you want, just get the right bolt to go in there.

          Timeserts are better than Helicoils.
