    HPR 10/08 Weekend day!

Saturday open lapping day on 10/8. They are running three different track configurations.

    Quote
There's another special twist to these days - participants will have the opportunity to run on THREE DIFFERENT track configurations in the same day! Here's how the schedule will run for both days:
    • 8am - 10am: Full Course
    • 10am - 12pm: West Course
    • Lunch
    • 1pm - 3pm: North Course
    • 3pm - 5pm: Full Course

Anyone interested? If I fix my steering and find a helmet I want to go.

I would love to, but I am sure the money won't be there. Is it still $100?

Winter pricing usually doesn't start until late October/early November.

So I'm fairly new to the course stuff, what is open lapping? How many cars on the track at one time? I would like to try it sometime but I dont want to let me lack of experience and my slow46 get in the way :D

Honestly, pretty much this. Given that this is the first weekend open day in a long time, it will be pretty busy.

They usually go out in groups of "slow" and "fast". There are no rules for which group to go in. If you follow the line and know your surroundings theres nothing to be worried about. There are always slow cars (mine) so who cares what speed you are going at.

I don't know how they work the different track setups and if they still run slow and fast groups, etc. I would guess so.

Open day just means anyone with a car and a helmet and $100 can go race all day.

Sam, I'm pretty sure it's still summer prices so yes $100 or $90 if you register early.

I will be in Hastings that weekend with NASA.

Much less bumper cars, much more seat time. Yep.

Yep! But now I get a fancy insulated door for the winter and a keypad for biking so it's not too bad.
