you don't want to keep it around for emissions? What exhaust did you go with?

UUC, it should still pass emissions with an aftermarket exhaust. To my understanding the cats should only matter with emissions, and they are still installed. My last m3 passed here with a less restrictive exhaust than this one.

Mufflers have nothing to do w/ emissions.

You didn't say that you had the stock midpipe, but now that you did your car will be fine.

That said, my E28 passed emissions a few days ago w/ the original cat, and two glasspacks.
