    WTB M42 motor

    Hello,

    Looks like I'm dealing with either a cracked head or leaky gasket, and rather than digging into the mess, I thought I'd send out to see if anyone has a decent motor for sale as I'd rather just swap it out.

    Not looking for anything fancy. Just a decent complete motor to do the job. All my peripherals work just fine, so my main interest is in the motor alone.

    I've got an ok budget, but again, just looking to swap motors for my daily driver.

    Any info or leads would be much appreciated, and thanks in advance!

              We've all tried to sell you an M42, at rock bottom prices with free delivery, and you keep dragging your feet. So stfu and stop whining. ;)

                  oh quit. I wasn't immediately in the financial position to buy, and by the time i was, it was gone.

                      I had it for 3 months, during which time you bought at least one E28, possibly two.

                          I can't even remember how many E28s I have bought and when, not as well as you do anyway.

                          either way, it is not like I am in a position to buy even now...

                              Thanks guys. I'm new here so I didn't know to check back, thought I would get dinged in my email when replies showed up... Anyhow, looks like its not worth replacing the entire motor at this time, so I'll just get it fixed. I did hear of one up N of Denver from a cool cat named Andy, not sure if he is here in r3v or not...

                              Thread dead, but I started a new one looking for a gray cloth standard drivers seat, or blk vinyl set...

                                          Yeah my m42 its still in my car until february when it gets swaped out, I do have a nice set of cloth sport seats in blue... ill post up a picture tomorrow and see what you think or PM me your email!!

                                                      Lambo, my friend Bohannon that I mentioned did and LS swap, rings a bell because he is down in LC/Paso and his project is the same color as your car. Great guy, if you ever see him on the road, beep at him!
