Me too! I am going with OEM Lachssilber and I am pretty stoked to see this baby turn back to former beauty. The paintwork was already pretty nice when I bought the car so there is an awesome foundation to work on.
Keep your fingers crossed the rust isnt too big of a pain in the ass to get rid of

Rust is always a pain in the ass. The best way is to cut it out and weld good metal in, and seal it up asap.

              that sounds dangerous and irresponsible.

              Carry on.

If lucky, the E36 will die peacefully, in its natural habitat, and be given the prestigious honor of donating its parts to an E30

It could indeed be tough, but its not very rough, so wiping it down with a cloth like a regular smooth paint job should work in theory. I dont know for sure though, I will find out :D

M50 is all buttoned up btw, my next order or business is to re-install the brakes lines...and sourcing a 735i Booster + MC, it appears thats a good first setup to try out. Depending on how everything on this cars works/performs, I will be switching things up and trying different setups until I find what I enjoy best for my personal application
