Yeah, I was in the S-Type R. 1st time at any road course; my starting lap times were around 2:25, and by the end I had run a 2:16 with some obvious room for improvement. Tom and Alex were very helpful teaching me some better lines; next time I think I can shave even a couple more seconds off! -
Good to know. Considering it's a DD, I will still buy the PSS for 99.9% of the driving. I too have read about them shredding in one day. It's hard to tell how hard they were driven. Considering I have made it through 4 track days and 20k miles on Pzero all seasons, I will take my chances :)
Great times! Again, it shows how I need to improve a lot...I am still a newb. Small victories! Were you in the silver S-type?Tom got my e30 to do a couple 2:24s with a full tank of gas and me in it. I didn't get a chance to time myself in either vehicle, but I was definitely slower than him in the e30 and faster in the Jaguar.
Edit: After reviewing some GoPro footage, my best lap looked to be in the 2:16-2:17 range with the Jaguar.Leave a comment:

I dropped 3 seconds in the M5 when going from conti DWS in 235/35/18 to 225/50/16 RS3's. I've seen PSS's shred themselves in a day at the track.Leave a comment:

I finally got into the 2:19's with the Golf. I know it's slow compared to you guys with proper cars and tires, but I am still happy! This was with all season tires still and some traffic.
I am ordering a set of better tires for DD duty. It will probably be PSS. In general, how much time do you think all seasons to summer tires will save me?Leave a comment:

David, tried out your sunroof cam at the last event, just now got around to editing the vids down to the less boring parts.

The Rocky Mountain SCCA region's autocross Match Tour (June 22-23, PPIR) is at risk of getting cancelled due to not meeting the minimum 100 participants required to run an event apparently. I personally won't be able to make it as I'll be out of state on vacation, but if people are interested: http://rmsolo.org/comatchtour.php
A couple of national Match Tour events have already been cancelled this year due to low turnout, and ours could be on the way...Leave a comment:
