I have used Harry's Lap Timer with success. It's not foolproof though. Here's my set up:

iPad mini, custom mount, external GPS, and Go Pro's for footage. I'll have engine parameters, throttle, brake, and gears if I can find an apple compatible OBD II blue tooth adaptor in time.

Is there a decent iphone app for GPS timing? I have no timed laps. The Golf doesn't even have an on-board timer like the E30 does :(

Harry's lap trimmer is what everyone on bf.c track section uses. I have yet to get it to work though... I'm going to try again this weekend.

Yeah, but I have to leave early and go straight to work so I can't get you home. You could leave a car near DIA and ride with me from there.

As long as I leave my car at one of the park and rides along 36 I can ride the bus back from DIA since I have a bus pass.

Wish the E30 was working, cause that's my goal too! It would be fun to go cat & mouse with each other. I think the M5 was 2:15-2:17 last time out, I wonder if the RS3's and fixed back seats will help at all....

I got an iPad mini, custom mount, and external GPS antenna. Just need OBD II to make Harry's Lap Timer Pro complete. I keep trying to get in touch with them, but customer service is terrible.

Isn't there an autox wiki that lists general class rules for each class without reading the entire rule book? I thought I saw one before but I can't find it. Specifically STX class.
