Looking for a m20 in Colorado

    Hey everyone,

I'm new to e30s and this forum. I just bought a 87 325is that needs a m20. I would rather not ship one out to me, so if anybody has one available in CO get at me. Thanks!

I'm looking to start a turbo build project with the car so if anybody is trying to get rid of any turbo components i may be interested in stuff like that as well.

There is one in the denver upullandpay. The trans is gone but the M20 is still there.

325ix should have some turbo parts.

Thanks for the replies guys. It's been a couple months since i've thought about the bmw. i needed a DD, bought a jeep, had to mod it a bit. they are not kidding with that "just empty every pocket" saying.

Anyway, e30 is back to priority number 1. looks like pull'n'pay has a couple in their inventory right now. should have an m20 soon!

I am not sure if you need engine/transmission combo, but i have both, still in the car, so you can drive/see it running.

Engine/ transmission has around 165,000 miles, recently (less than 200 miles ) performed service maintenance : water pump, timing belt, timing belt tensioner, drive belt, bosch platinum spark plugs, German spark plug wires, distributor rotor, ditributor cap, valve clearance adjustment, etc..

Was thinking to get around $600-$700 for whole thing (engine/transmission/accessories), but feel free to make me an offer if you are interested.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Already found an m20 though. I bought one from hyperE30 here on the forum.

I will probably make another post for this, but does anybody know of a machine shop in Colorado Springs that will shave up my stock m20 flywheel? I'm going to look around a bit, but if anybody has experience with one in the springs area let me know your thoughts.

                  Thanks

Ask Downforce22, he had his flywheel shaved and he's in the Springs area.

Awesome I'll check them out.. few questions for you if you dont mind.

How much did you have shaved off and are you happy with the quality of work?
                          Did they balance it also?
                          How much did it cost?

                          thanks
