    WTB:Jeep Cherokee 1997-2000/1?

    hi all,

just recently moved into the area and am on the hunt for a jeep cherokee 97-2000 (maybe 2001) to get around the mountains while my e30 sits at home. i had originally thought about buying an e30 and putting snows on it but figured that i should just go with a 4x4. (many thanks for creepingdeath for educating me/talking with me even though i didn't buy the e30)

    must haves:

    clean title
    mechanically in good shape
    no rust/accidents
    clean interior (request by gf)
    4x4

    would likes:

not too many modifications/lift/off road stuff (i don't plan on mudding/rock climbing)
    winch/additional lighting
    maintenance history

    thanks!

Just missed mine (Brad's old one.) Sold it last weekend.

Expect to pay in the $3-5k range for a clean example. Especially this time of year.

Might have some luck on here:

Better than buying off a random guy on craigslist

Im sure it's not that much of a price difference but yeah they would be cheaper. It all comes down to the snow, RWD cars are cheaper and 4WD have a premium added to them. I got my car cheaper because the owner wanted a Jeep for winter.

What he said. AWD/4WD cars tend to be worth more From Nov-Feb and again in early summer when people want to go camping/4-wheeling.
