Anyone know of any you-pull-it type junkyards within a couple hours of Boston that have E30s? There's Holland's in Billerica, but I don't know if they have any BMWs. They claim they don't on the phone, but I've learned they're not terribly reliable...

Henry's Auto Parts, Blackstone, MA - Pretty good amount of BMW's but slim pickings depending on what you are looking for. Fantastic pricing.
Everett's in Brockton, MA - Very small, very slim pickings but they have a couple of E36's
Brockton Auto Parts and Regal Auto Parts, Brockton, MA - Both next to Everett's...Have several E30's some in surprisingly good shape...but it's extremely disorganized with stacked cars. Don't go there if you value your life. Pricing is based on arbitrary moods of bored employees.
Middleboro Auto Salvage, Middleboro, MA- I hear it's a big yard, I haven't gone there myself though.
Jack's Auto Parts, Billerica, MA - Supposedly very good, but no personal experience
Holland's, Billerica, MA - Also supposedly great, they had the $60 you carry it-it's yours day. Haven't been there but would go next time i'm parts hunting
Weymouth Salvage, Weymouth, MA - No experience with them
Anderson's Auto Parts, Kingston, MA - No experience with themOriginally posted by FredKHowever, in your absence, I will likely sit in your seat buck naked while making racecar noises as if I were maxing your E30 out on the Mulsanne Straight while allowing the perforated vinyl to soak up my butt sweat (going 200 mph does that to you).

About 2 miles. I'm near Harvard and Main.
psyber_0ptix, that's a great list. Thanks! I had no idea there were so many around.
I've been to Holland's a few times for parts for my Jeep and a buddy's '87 (?) diesel Jetta. They also stack cars willy-nilly and it's a little disconcerting. The last time I was there, we pulled the front subframe out of a Golf that had a Cabrio sitting on top. *gulp*
Seems to me I recently saw a tow truck with the name of a salvage yard near Portsmouth, too. I'll have to dig a little more.Comment

ive been to middleboro auto salvage, and no luck with e30s, a few e34s and an e28 but thats about it, kinda over priced too. Brockton Auto parts is where i go, just because theres aa few e30s there right now, although as psyber optix said, your putting your life in the hands or some retards who have too much fun with the fork lift."In God we trust. All others must bring data." -W. E. Deming

$100 dollar Junk Yard Day - if you can carry it, you keep itOriginally posted by FredKHowever, in your absence, I will likely sit in your seat buck naked while making racecar noises as if I were maxing your E30 out on the Mulsanne Straight while allowing the perforated vinyl to soak up my butt sweat (going 200 mph does that to you).

Hollands tends to be picked clean, It and Jacks were my stomping yards tens years ago but they tend to be picked clean by the three cities of L.
Middleboro when I lived in the south shore was ok, Anderson's back in the 80 was great for 60-70's cars. I rebuilt many a muscle car out of there back in the 80's in HS. There is the yard in Bridgewater on Rt 18 Ollies? forgotten the name but think that's it. Plus Rt 104 yard in West Bridgewater near Rt 106.
Then in Worcester you have Sam's pick and pull 3 bucks gets you in and they have dirt cheap picked over ruins from the 3 other surrounding salvage yards.
ABC used to be part of FoMoCo when they bought everything. They were big into the salvage and used spares at half the cost of new. They owned Leominster salvage on RT 2 and a few other Greenleaf yards.Comment
