instead of starting a new thread, I figured I'd just bump this one...

anyone rent a fender roller or wants to make some quick cash to roll my 4 corners?

I have one, but I lent it out. If you're not in a super hurry I'm sure we can set something up.

I have one too but I'm in Westfield. Also mentioned that Victor can't do your spray until his vert is done over on the other site.

I might know where it is, I have never rolled a fender before so I can't offer any expertise, but I think if we apply a good amount of heat, and take our time, we'll be fine.

Or I could give it back to FredK and he could help you with it.

if you're getting your car painted soon and you want to be able to run beefy rubber go nucking futs with the roller, there's nothing to lose. Also if you have a heat gun and some scraping tools you can start digging the caulking/seam sealer out of the rear fender lip before you start to roll. With that shit in there you can roll to maybe a 70* angle, with it gone you can fold the lip over. Be advised the front fenders are much thinner metal than the rears so a lot less force is necessary on them. And if you try to finesse the rears they won't move.

I was thinking of taking the caulking out of there and rolling them flat, figured it wouldn’t be such a big deal with paint cracking as it will be getting a respray…

Should I put some new seam sealer on the lip so when it gets rolled flat there will be protection from water getting in there and rusting from the inside out? I figured if the seam sealer is still wet it will still get a pretty flat roll?

I think that'd be the best way to do it, if you want to maximize clearance. The "schutz" in there is pretty thick. I'd be careful though to avoid removing any of the e-coat, which is the galvanic coating that provides long term rust protection.
