Need e30 mechanic

Well Brandon got it running, and I can't thank him enough. I wish I had all the wasted money I spent and could give it all to him, because everything is resolved. I'll let Brandon explain everything that was fucked up with the car, I think he'd get a kick out of it.

On a less brighter note, the car was in a parking lot, took it to get dinner and celebrate the fact that the fuel lines aren't blowing up. Sat in a seat to watch my car and admire it through the window. Some tarot card reader read my cousins "future" shit on tarot cards, and then her and the old guy (her dad) leave and he whips the fucking truck out. He backs into my fucking car. Front bumper, fender, hood, and lights gotta be replaced. Called his insurance company, and it goes to a body shop tomorrow for an estimate. They have to pay to repair everything. The best part? I get a new paint job on the fucking thing. And I have the option to get a "rent a car." When I saw the dude hit my car, I got up from the table, tried walking calmly, but he started looking around and then tried to leave hoping no one would notice. Then I yell at the mother fucker "MY CAR, YOU HIT MYY FUCKING CAR." Homeboy looks all dumbfounded. As soon as I saw the shit up close I became a sentimental little waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles and cried. The last time I was in an accident I was backed into and the assholes had no insurance and I was fucked. He was driving a company work truck or some shit so regardless the car will be taken care of and I'll get a free paint job out of it. I'm pissed to holy hell though, I wouldn't ever risk the front of my car getting hit by a tow hitch just for a free paint job. But at least the shit is repairable and things are getting worked out.

Do you happen to drive a red e30 with a rieger kit? some girl was driving one near my house a week or little more ago. I have never seen her before, or after that.

while your at it, replace the vacuum line to intake, probably 1$

Black to brown.
Red to purple with grey stripe.
Yellow to red with green stripe.
Then hook up your power antenna to the white wite. I usually hook up the antenna to the switched power which should be the purple with grey stripe.

All should be well with the lights then..

Yeah, the radio will work but no dash lights and still blow fuse 23 usually.
Im gonna say the radio was installed wrong. It can all be fixed by unhooking one wire.
I dont know off the top of my head what one it is. But I ran into this problem on a customers car two weeks ago.
Give me a minute and I will figure it out.

Yessir it did. do we have a winner? what happened? Never had this problem before and did the wiring many times. But when the stereo was installed. I had all the dash lights on and everything. I was checking intrument cluster bulbs with the stereo already hooked up

hahaha. please say no good. Mike question for you. Her hazard lights, dash lights, and blinkers dont work. All fuses are good. Im thinking thats from a blow relay. The blinkers were really fast when she bought the car, no blown exterior marker bulbs. Now they make a buzzing noise.

I accidentally cut the rear ashtray light wires, and now her dash lights wont work. I connected the wires back and no lights still. Check fuses. nothing. whats your take on that?

If all the blinkers worked but blinked fast it can be caused by having the wrong bulbs installed or a bad ground.
If you cut the rear ashtray light and now none of the lights work you blew a fuse. Id just run through and check them all with a test light.






Now my question is this, did the problem with the lights happen after the radio was installed?

Do you hav a new FPR? Make a list of what you need done and I will see what I can do. Dont take my word on it though.
Im lucky to get time to work on my own shit. haha.

Replacing an FPR and fuel lines on a peaceful Sat can be made to happen...

Rachel. Tomorrow after 3 ill fix your car. Ill take the fuel pressure regulator off my rebuilt motor and replace the fuel lines for you. Give me some time to test some wires to see why the dash lights arent working. You need a new turn signal stalk with a good resistor. Ill mount your m3 wing afterwards if I have time. Sound good?

Dude, all I care about is that its running. Everything else is an after thought, you can tell me to Fuck myself when you're done if you want. Ill give you cash tomorrow, just let me watch what you are doing. Don't worry about the wires or wing. It's not worth the stress. I just need it to run.
