Anyone heard of/dealt with Mountain Auto Sports in Ludlow Vermont? Been to the place a few times since Okemo is in Ludlow. There have always been very nice cars and track cars out in the back of the place, but I've never been by when they're open. Did a little googling and found out they're a machine shop and the owner used to race gt cars? I'm going to take a drive down there pretty soon to check it out, but was just wondering if anyone has been there or had work done, could be a vital resource in the future.

Damn. Sorry I didn't see this post earlier. My old boss had always had his BMW's serviced there. 86 535i(of which I took the motor) his customised 635csi with a turbo motor. I'm pretty sure he still has his 07 5series serviced there inless it's something he would prefer a dealer mess with. He is a bit expensive but does good work. Usually has a few BMW's for sale on his little lot. My old boss had nothing but good things to say about him.

There is a place in Springfield, VT. Heads up motorsports. More affordable and still does great work. He builds race heads, I think mostly for Miatas, and does service work, restos, and the like on all makes and BMW's. Last time I had my E30 there he showed me a full resto he was doing on a 2002. Had it on a rotisere completley stripped. I had my first E30 there and his mechanic found some electrical problems pretty quickly that would take me days to find.

Either of those would be a great place to have some service work done. Or maybe buy a BMW from Mountain Auto.

I've stopped in a couple times, the owner Kermit, is a nice guy and super knowledgeable. And an accomplished driver. My family owns a house up there and my fuel pump died one day, I stopped by to see if he had one lying around and sure enough he did.

forgot i started this thread, hahaha, thanks for the input guys. im going to be heading up there soon before i head back to school. ive got big plans for my m20, and im going to have a long talk with him about my project, and the price.
